YELLOWboxingAt work, at home, at church, and everywhere else, you have to deal with Conflict. More specifically, you have to deal with people in Conflict. The bad news is that not everybody can be a professional Mediator. The good news? You can still use the skills, tips, tricks, and techniques that Mediators have developed in your everyday life!

There are only a few common strategies that most people use to deal with Conflict. By and large these aren't formal frameworks; they're trial-and-error patchworks developed over the course of a lifetime. Attack of The Conflict Creatures sorts these Conflict strategies into eight common, distinct categories and makes them easy to remember. Once you have learned to identify these "Conflict Creatures" you can learn a clear, simple set of techniques that you can use to counter each one.

Butting heads with a Bull who likes to shout and threaten? Suffering from a Snake who hints, implies, and backstabs? Dealing with a Dog who overcommits and so never actually gets anything done? Each of these (and more!) becomes easier to handle once you can identify them, understand what they're doing, and match them to techniques that effectively counter them.

Even better, the training can be adjusted and targeted to different skill levels. Looking for broad, universal techniques anybody can master in a few hours? We can do that! Need narrower, more advanced skills for interviewing or case management staff? We can do that too! The content is adjustable to meet your organization's needs, and the various role plays and activities are always tuned in to make them as relevant as possible.

This training is four hours long and costs $700 plus expenses.
